Hi i hope to put a 350( upright ) litre tank into a transit and bolt it to floor has any one done this and is there any problems or is it straight forward

you would be ok just ratcheting that, but bolting it would be fine
you could get a bigger one if you needed , 350 isnt that much in a tranny

Hi sean can you please tell me how your tank is fixed down because i have got a vivaro and a 350lt tank in the back was hoping to buy a 500 but having problem where to put it because up front you can not drill though the floor because of diesel tank thanks Dave

You will have to postion the tank correctly in the van to 'spread the load'. If the fuel tank is in the way, then the usual procedure is to drop the tank so that the tank and frame can secured correctly, mostly by using spreader plates. There will be a small gap between the top of the tank and the underneath of the floor. Best time to do this is when the van has very little fuel left in the tank.

think i have same van ;D ;D got a 500l flat tank in it had a matal frame made at blacksmiths with 4 fixed bars that fit into the load holding fixings on van floor really solid

10 ton ratchet to the fixings in the front , its not moved in last 2 months, been fine
Anymore than 500 litres i would look at drilling but its very rarely full for long and like i say isnt going anywhere, got some wooden stops on floor too to cage it in
