forgetting that it's got a mobile number and a free email address i don't see it as funny but as a half decent idea. customers already will hire the rug doctor for what £45? they will no doubt have seen vax machines and heard of the name so £15.00 is tempting. even if it doesn't clean it's cheap enough to try it, and then decide £15.00 is better then spending £200 on a pro.

i get plenty of jobs where the carpet has been down 1 year or less and has been well kept. the customer wants a freshen up clean. i get plenty dirt out but really there is no visible difference as it's been well looked after. if they were to use this machine i'm sure they'd be just as happy with the results, and then that's a good earner for me gone leaving just the really dirty ones.

I've got friends who are Police Dog handlers and have one of these machines at home. They know what I do and I've done their carpets before but for 'on the spot need to do it now' situations I have to admit their cream living room carpet is in really good shape. Says something when that carpet has 3 German Sheps on it everyday.

It might not be the outright answer to thorough carpet cleaning but it serves a purpose in the right situations. Might even be worth buying a few for the hire market area where people want cheap.

Hehehe

I got one of the "new boy in Glasgow" leaflets under similar circumstances.

After all "its only carpet cleaning"
