Title: Charlie pads versus Rx-20
Post by: baztech on October 13, 2005, 11:43:36 am
Hi All,

I recently got a demonstration of an RX-20(attached to T/M) in action on some carpet tiles and I was very impressed.

I was wondering if any of you guys out there use the Rx-20 on carpet tiles and find it easier and faster than the charlie/Texatherm system?

Or is it that you would use the pad system when you cannot reach the upper floors?

Hey Nick,

Spoke to you on the phone yesterday re: same thing.......just wonderin what the masses are saying out there...... not that I am doubting you in any way of course!!
But I reckon that for cinema work the rx-20 is the way to go and if I could use it effectively on carpet tiles also I could increase my efficiency rate by using one team on the charlie pad system on the upper floors and the other team with the rx-20 on the bottom floors.....but but but I do want the same result from both that is the best so if there is a difference I will use the most effective system....????

Baz,

Charly pads will give excellent results on carpet tiles and probably much quicker dry times as well as being faster and less cost to use, so more profit.

I posted a while ago tha we had done 350 sq mt office carpet with CPads in 3 1/2 hrs at 1.50 sq mt. They rang on the Monday to say that the carpet had not looked like that since new. My helper had never done any before.

I would have thought the RX20 or HWE would be more thorough in removing the drinks spills common in cinemas.

Ive got Texatherm and Charlie pads and their both very good on tiles but sometimes you need to nuke them.

Here is my opinion.

I recently did a community centre.  I have also recently aquired a super charly pad system.

I presprayed with no. 9 and agitated, then HWE'd.  Believe it or not there was little or no improvement.  I then ran charly over it.  The results were brilliant, unbelievable.  I know that HWE helped, I also tried charly's first (the hwe had no VISUAL) impact.

Don't know about  D/F, but Charly's... I'll rave about them all night, brilliant.

Chris

It’s surprising what a rotary can do even on low profile! Luck me don’t have to rave! :(
