Title: IICRC
Post by: Shaun_Ashmore on June 22, 2011, 05:02:19 pm
Is it really worth it?

I did the courses been cleaning probably as long as some of the instructors, paid my yearly subscriptions and this year they have sent my cheque back saying that I haven't done any CEC (continuing Education Credits) more training! the best bit is I need 2 training credits which is 2 days training and all the courses on the accompanying sheets are in Surrey which is a very nice place but I live in South Yorkshire!

The last time I did IICRC training it was good learned a few new things but as an organisation they do nothing for the industry in this country far less than NCCA, I am disappointed but I will now be £48 pa better off I will be deleting any logos I have.

Hi Guys

This industry has always had a problem representing the experienced CC and the vast majority do not bother with trade organisations.

My plan with the CLEAN thing was to have graduated membership which reflected experience etc but alas it never happened.

Cheers

I'm new to this IICRC thing and fortunate that Farnham is just up the road for me, infact so fortunate that I picked up some items from there the other day as i was in the area.
I know it would still be a journey for you but you could go to Altec which knocks a sizable amount off time and travel.

2.5 hours to Alltec, 4 hours to Surrey, 0.1 seconds to rip cheque up!

How many of your customers have heard of either organisation?
Could they care less?
Do they know what machine you use?
Do they know what chemicals you use?
All they care about is if their carpet looks clean and how much it costs.
Use the money for another pint!!

Don't drink!

Actually my customers know I use a TM as I market it and also Green chemicals as I market those.

You can also pick up credits going to acredited trade events.

It is a bit like THe Scouts

Regarding Badges

Shaun with his experience should be an acreditted Instructor.

Hev Could have held courses up North

THe Chemspec Guy is or was acredited but I think only in CC

No name on the truck mount, no scout badges on my sleeve. But my logo blooming everywhere. I made a post about this last year, I'm there to sell my busniess not advertise  a supplier or an association.

Training is a good thing, I've nothing against it would do a course tomorrow to learn something new. Probably a IICRC one

but in my expiring most customers care most about.....

Are you any good

When can I use it again

How much

If you want a handy association join the FSB you get legal advice by phone , health and safety forms, glossy newsletter and a big sticker  and it's £58 not traing you just have to be nice company.

Chemspec Europe use Noel Frank.

Richard is no longer registered.
