I've got an internal clean on Friday.
The house has just been refurbished and it has these v expensive hardwood floors and hardwood window frames.
The owner is an interior designer (concerned about ladder marks) and I have the following two potential challenges:
1. The pad at the top of the 8 ft A frame marking the hardwood. I was considering:
a) Cleaning the pad and showing this to the owner. However; it will still look dirty as it is ground in dirt (unlesss I bleach it???) - but is bleach a good idea on the pad.
b) Putting a the external cover of a big leather mountaineering mitt (will take out fleece inner) over the top of the A-frame.
c) Duct taping the top of the ladder
d) Duct taping some karrimatt / foam pad over the top of the ladder
2. The floors look very slippy. I'm concerned about ladder skidding. I might put these matts down.

Any other ideas to make the a-frame safe here?
Thanking you for your advice on this.
Cheers,
Olly

Would a wagtail on a pole work?

I did some high internal windows just today.
Used an extension ladder with dense foam taped to the sides of the ladder where in contact with the window frame and as I am also wfp footed the ladder with a full 20 litre container of water.
A slipping ladder can cause a lot of damage to yourself and the clients property.

You could always give the job a miss.

You could always give the job a miss.
Thats what I was just thinking!
How much is the job worth to you? Will you use the ladder matts much after this job? If not then your spending £20 + delivery on the job before you even start it!
