Hello, i'm looking for a school leaver/apprentice window cleaner in Worcester or near, does anyone know of anyone looking for a job/career? Reliable and hard working are a must!
-
did you know that you cant ask for hardworking or reliable on your advert as could be discrimination, was told this a while back when i advertised at job centre ;D
-
u also cant ask how many days they have had off sick in the last year
-
What's the world coming too? By the way, Poles / Eastern Europeans need not apply!!!
-
sometimes makes you wonder if worth employing :(, good luck with finding some one
-
We have real trouble getting uk staff around here. They can earn £9/£10 ph with bonus but cant get good people. Now we employ four Poles and couldn't ask for better people, and two blokes who have been with me form the start
-
Purely out of interest, are you the Redditch side of Worcs?
-
Central Worcester, bout 26 miles from Brum
-
Ar fair enough, im close to the warks worcs border and cover stratford and surrounding area :)

To me even though I know that when thinking of apprenticeships window cleaning doesnt spring to mind, times are changing and companies like Mcdonalds are now putting there employees through recognised accademic qualifications. So when you are advertising for an apprentice if I was younger and I knew what I know now I would apply because you sound like you wanted to train me and wanted me to grow and stay with your company!
Ps sorry for the long winded post but I admire what you are doing for a young person ;D

Bump...
Did you find your apprentice?!

In a word NO!
Had a 40 year guy call, desperate for a job, told me he was reliable, hard working and conciencious, had a chat with him and he seemed ok at first, gave him a chance and what a waste of time he turned out to be! Sacked him Yesterday when he rang up with yet another excuse for why he needed the day off! He wanted an advance on his wages every week, he was a compulsive liar, after around 2 months he still couldn't clean a window properly, got the hump when i worked him or told him what to do!! Idiot basically!
Why is it so hard to get someone decent? You know my ideal worker, someone like me!!!!
