Check out link..............a national money saving website. Offers anything from fish pedicures to er window cleaning, so it appears. Wish i lived in Bournemouth now ;D

seems 75 have bought it, so might be worth it to him
-
Thinking about it, I kind of admire what they're doing but it's gonna leave them wide open to abuse with one off etc etc. Maybe a couple will lead to repeat business but not many I'd have thought.
-
says they will do up to 10 windows patio doors and up to 2 bay windows for £6 and they have been trading since 2006
-
What about the fuel???? 20% of that £6 will go to taxman. Like I said..... Not my idea of trying to drum up trade.
-
Bear in mind that Groupon take 50% of the cash they take for the vouncher, so the windies in question are getting £3 for a clean.
If they want to turn people into regulars they have to do a good job for the £3.
Also, a local dentist friend of mine did this - reduced rate checkup and VERY few of them became regulars. He said that almost every one of them was clearly very price conscious.

where does it say they take 50%, and does the custy pay straight away
-
no wonder this trade is going down hill with ruddy clowns like him. good job he is not up here he would not last five min without getting his head kicked in
-
It could be 50% to Groupon or it could be 70%. They take the money straight away, give 33% after 5 days, another 33% after 10 days and the balance 30 days later.
What if loads of your existing custies bought this deal?
Best time to go with Grouipon is if you are about to go bust. Schedule the custies for 3 weeks time, take 66% of the take and go bust having done no cleans.

I would have thought it's a last resort kinda place to go. I used it today to book 18 holes at Coulsdon Golf Club X 2 including breakfast or dinner for £30. That's £15 each INCLUDING a meal. If Groupon take 50% then the club are only making £7.50 each. The dinner must cost £3 to make. I'm buggered if I'd do it. They can't be even making any kinda profit to delay going under.

I had a mate do this but with domestic cleaning in manchester but through living social (they only take 40%)....she got alot of custies! She got a cheque for over 8k a few weeks later.....

I might have a go on there.
Put as part of the deal they must become regular customers.
-
I dont think you can ask them to do that mate, its just a one off service you can sell. Im not a 100% but im pretty sure

The way it works is that the customer pays Groupon and gets a voucher. Groupon pass on 50% (or less, it seems, from the post above) to the supplier. So they end up with £3 or less for the clean. I hope it works for them and that they can convert people to regulars but it's a risk IMHO.

a guy up my way done it called pole position he got well over 150 jobs but not sure how many he kept as regulars, not for me thats for sure
-
He sold all 148,
If he converts 25 into regular custys he's done good.
I'm going on there offering 50% discount instead of charging 20 quid for first clean ill clean em for a tenner.
-
He was charging £6. Not £20
-
I know m8 doesn't mean everyone else has to.
