am getting sick of all the over charges, out knocking and cant give quotes as they all think i am going to charge them the earth to clean there windows ;D

Stick at it!! You get good and bad days, but smile and be confident and you will get customers
-
u gota work out the person if u feel they are worried about price try and get your price out faster ,like "well your front will be x"

No such thing as over charging...it's all about what your target market will bear...it's business...not happy families.
Come the end of your financial year it's all about your profit....Mr's Jones at 42 making you a tea and you taking her bins out is all just fluff.
Nice to be nice...but come the winters bad weather when I cannot work for 4 to 8 weeks...I'll not be thinking that I have over-charged...
Cheers
Dave.

Surely the opposite would be true if people currently think they are being overcharged.
If people overcharge they won't get much work but if you undercharge long term you are not likely to stay in business, or if you do will simply be a busy fool.

You seem a bit obsessed with price.
Well, just make it clear you're cheap from the outset. Lead on price. As they answer the door, ask "Want your windows cleaned for £3 chief?" You'll get loads of business and all the overchargers will go bust immediately.

Have some leaflets printed up with average prices on.
£3 front of terrace
£10 3 bed semi
£12 3 bed semi with connie
£12 4 bed semi
etc then hand one to your prospective cutomer as he she answers the door, as you ask them if they have a window cleaner, would like their windows cleaned etc. This should give you chance to quote.works for me ;D

sf your price structure does not make sense. £10 = 6/7Windows and 2 quid more for a conny which will have at least 4/6 windows and doors.I must have it wrong but it does not add up.

I price by time on each job.Not per window been a window cleaner a long time so got a very good idea how long a job will take. Also gives customer the feeling their having value for money.

Its up to all on what they charge, when i price up a house £3.00 dear than someone I knew they have not been since the early part of this year.
My prices will be different than yours or anyone as I price on what i would like to earn.
And thats a decent wage and my business makes a profit and to cover overheads to run my business each year. ;D ;D ;D
