Title: Will traditional die out, and water fed take over compleatly?
Post by: H2O TECH on June 16, 2011, 10:58:24 am
hi
Doers anyone think that traditional will be a thing of the past? My thinking tells me that both methods have pros and cons.

But it does make me wonder that with water fed being so good, in the furture will traditional methods die off and everyone do just wfp.

I do both methods, as i like the best of both worlds.

Regards

Everything changes and mew methods will become available in the future, but imo trad will stay to some extent, otherwise how would you do insides, shopping centres, public walkways etc etc

well ive got all the trad gear and wfp even tho i only use a trolley system being able to do both stops me from getting bored of just using one method.

also if my water fed system breaks down, or pole breaks etc, i can finish the job with trad.

Some actually like doing some trad! Options are kept open, and no trad will is unlikely die out, many just don't want, see the need, or can afford to change.

Never, never....its great having all 3 methods, wfp, mop & squeegee, and washleather and scrim/microfibre etc, i think more will go wfp and trad for domestics, purely for the time saved and more money to earn, but indoor shopping centres will be trad for 99% of them, and i dont think this will change, even with wfp and a wet vac type system, just not viable.

Yes it will; everything evolves and you can't stand still, even the trad cleaners amongst you who think that WFP is something the Devil himself come up with ;D

Even now you can buy the Dragonfly kit to do insides and sooner or later, someone, somewhere will come up with a brilliant system to clean inside window and make the mop and squeegie a thing of the past; you trad lads will have to visit a museum to see your tool of choice ;D

It will have to be some sort of system to be better than using a squeegee on the insides, and those internal kits do not come close yet.

And as for will wfp takeover completely, I'd put money on wfp being banned way before it takes over!

traditional cleaning is alive and kicking near where i work!some are good honest trad guys but some are just cowboys!rubbish cleaners!im picking up work off both sorts because im WFP and trad.i enjoy the break from poling on some ground floor work.its easier than wfp esp in a tight space/and/or wooden flaky poorly painted windows! ;) ;D ;D

there will always be room for squeegee work IMO

too right.  most of my work is town centre ground floor shops.  doing that wfp would be the biggest pain in the ass.  cant see any reason to do anything other than trad for this type of work

H2o Tech ... Why do you say in this thread that you can trad clean and then ask for someone to teach you how to trad clean in another thread ??

Trad will never die but the art of doing it is going, as so many new cleaners only wfp and then try to do the insides with various devices but if you have the skills they will alweays be used.

LONG LIVE THE SQUEEGEY  ;D

Traditional will still be around for internal work and for some for external work so no it wont die for ever but wfp could do by Domestic Customers.... ;D ;D ;D
