so whats the best r.o for speed and minimal waste? is the 4040 thingy the best ro there is?
i'd like to fill a tank as quick as possible with little waste
im on a water meter and in a 300ppm area
ive been quoted for a 600gpd r.o but im not sure thats going to cut the mustard for too long and i want something future proof
thanks

A pumped 4040 is the best for speed and low waste combination, you may get one with a similar waste output, but it will take ALOT longer to produce the same quantity.

£500-600 for all the filters and housings.

@ lee
Also how long would a pumped 4040 take to produce 350ltr of pure?
-
depends on the feed pressure, an HF5 running at 80psi should give you around 150 - 200ltrs an hr depending also on water temp.

thanks for the info alan, by the way how can i find out what my tap pressure is?
-
you need to hook up a pressure guage to the tap you want to draw from.
this will give you your static pressure - your working pressure will be approx 30% lower.

My HF05 unpumped produces at 2lt a min, so 120 litres in 60 mins. Brings tds from 400+ down to 12.
June at Gaps Water is very helpful. My unit cost £650

600l unpumpped takes 3-4 hours, but with a booster pump under 2
