I know the window cleaner as well, my old man gave him some work when he first started out years ago

Yes
I've got one window above a conservatory every 6 weeks. The lady has a regular trad cleaner who does a good job and done them for years. I get the conservatory roof, gutter and fascia cleans once a year as well.
When doing the first clean I noticed a serious structural fault with regard to the brick lintel that was above the kitchen window. It looked like it was about to collapse and bring down a section of the wall. Anyway, she got in touch with her builder friend who immediately shored the brickwork up then did remedial work. So, on the one hand she's grateful for my observation, but it pains her to pay half the full house clean for that one window.
