my choice is hydramasters clearwater rinse. by far the best and most economical.
looks like youve got yourself a good setup there, good luck.

Ya think so!! Dont know why but im S***ing my self.  when i first started i had a crap porty and an old clapped out van and just used shampoo. After i decided I wanted to do this properly and getting rid of everything and starting again with the right tools and ncca training and new van, its been 18 months saving up and buying things slowly and i think i was more confident back then! but thanks for that m8! :)

I have a Whole Room Drier you can have for £160..... Which includes delivery.... ;)

Anyway, I find Final Phase extremely good value for money from Solution, they also do a good de-foamer which last for ages too....

Good luck with the business...

find yourself an experienced carpet cleaner to shadow for a few days, you will pick up far more than doing the training course alone.
I have a competitor in my area who is an NCCA member who uses DFC105 prespray and rinses with Double clean, and to speak to him he has absolutely no idea whatsoever. Training is required but on its own its pointless.

I would find out what your local supplier sells as postage usually makes
buying one off to expensive also would get a microsplitter and basic spotters

Im getting on well with prochems pure clean at the minute, good results, versatile and no need for an acid rinse. Its definatly a permanent fixture on the van now.

Ditto pure clean & also like DFC 105. I prefer Clearwater Rinse by Hydramaster, one of the best cost per use rinses there are. If i could carry nothing else powerburst, pure clean and clearwater would be my picks.

Clearwater rinse was definitely the most economical, but I didn't like the pong.

If you use a microsplitter as has been said just use plain water. With PB if you have a portable then yes use an acid in your tank.

Bear in mind though you are paying quite a lot for an acid solution. Something you don't have to be a chemisty Phd to figure out yourself.

Also bear in mind that the more water you use to flush the carpets through, the less chemical you need as a rinse.

I use Chemspec Liquid High Heat as a rinse in my TM and I dilute it 1:50 in the chemical jug, running it at about 3GPM.  Not sure what dilution that works out at in actual use but it uses a very modest amount of product, but does the job when needed.  John Kelly will tell you how much I order per year better than me!  But I think I replenish the 1 US gallon container about every 6 weeks or so.

I mostly use either M-Power or HD from Solutions as pre-sprays so normally don't even use the rinse, but when using stronger stuff like powerburst or ultrapac the high heat does a great job, both as an extra "kick" to the cleaning and to reduce the pH.  (I have tested with pH test paper after rinsing ;) )

Do you find you get white residue on your quick connects with high heat?

Great stuff but that concerns me a little ???

Yes me too, i use pureclean like this its very low foaming and a very good rinse.

Mostly I use MPower or Nemesis, pretty safe to use and no acid rinse required - just plain water clean.

If I need something stronger then its Double Clean or Ultrapac Renovate, both are fairly high ph so need to be made neutral after with acid rinse or a good flush with fresh water.

Just had a look at the Hydramaster stuff dont know if my calcualtions are correct, diltion rates are 60ml in a 40 litre tank if thats correct thats very economical, stopped using the Prochem stuff i think its a rip off, the Solutions acid rinse looks quite good as well would be interesting to know what the most economical acid rinse is.

Mark,  yes I've noticed a bit of that white stuff but I don't worry about it!

The Y strainer on my machine doesn't get clogged, nor do any inline filters or wand jets, so I'm guessing it's nothing to worry about.  Certainly hasn't caused me any problems in 18 months of using it.
