Dave,

Very impressive. I've been playing with surround encap myself but wouldn't have thought it would get a result like that on such a dirty carpet.

What machine is that? What kind of pad were you using and did you do any pre-treating?

Surprised myself too as upon survey i planned on a tm clean with post bonnet.

That's a thermadry (with heater turned off) with standard pads.
Was using cold water as well.
No pre treating apart from vac

Wheres the dirt go?  Is it a bonnet pad or a white floor pad?  Do you return to post vac?

Im impressed.

Some of the dirt will be on the pad, some will be evenly distributed in the carpet.
I dont know what Dave P uses but I have Texatherm pads, as well as Microfibre and others in my kit.
I did a sales office carpet couple weeks ago which had some very large coffee/tea stains and they just disappeared.
Available from Restormate in 3 different formulas

Joe, Do you you not use it with your cimex ? or did you end up selling it ?

I use nothing else but surround now with the cimex , great product.

Sold the Cimex Geoff, went to an established carpet cleaner near Oxford.

I used it with my 15" Numatic
pre sprayed the carpet, agitated with a grey pad from Solutions, then bonneted with the Tex bonnets.

Joe,

Do you think grey pads are better for agitating then the heavy duty stripped pads? When we have large areas we have one machine with a heavy duty pad set up going first then go over with a normal pad from restormate.

I would prefer to agitate with my CarpetGard (Flexi5) but that evening decided to leave on the van and try the grey pad. It worked fine.
I did also use a heavy duty pad with stripes around just the door entry.

If you want to watch and listen to the person that invented the surround encap products, watch the video link below.

Trying it at present , results seem good , notsure if markedly better than d/f or fusion clean but early days yet. One down side surround doesnt have built in protection. Nice smell though.
