Morning Chaps,
I've got a leisure battery which I can take the top up screws out , would anybody how much I should top it up to.
Many thanks.

Just top it up so that the water level is just above the metal plates but not right to the top of the cell.
Don't use ordinary tap water though.

It can't be a leisure battery if you need to top it up because thats the definition of a leisure battery, no acid. That way its safe to use in applications where it might get knocked over or upended.

Mine has to be topped up Vince

i thought leisure batterys are gel

I thought the difference was they are better at having a smaller wattage output over a longer period and are more suited to a low ampage recharge.
Whereas a standard car battery is better at delivering a huge cranking voltage, followed by continual top ups whilst the engine is running.

Just bought a brand new Bosch leisure batt and that has removable tops and acid in

yep mine needs topping up too.

Thanks guys, I'll have a look at the levels.
