Mark, am i right to believe that if you are putting a 130+ psi pump on the Powermax you have to adjust the outlet valve to avoid damage to the pump??

Yes that is correct, they failed to tell me this last time,so after a week the seal in the pump went ,on the first one I had,was repaired free, and I then adjusted the valve in the machine,it's at it's max adjustment, there is a different valve also which is higher pressure.

has anyone actually used one of these pumps?

I have heard of most pumps but not heard of this one, and the size of motor & pump head looks the same as Shurflo & Flojet but they don't make a pump that size that will go to 170psi.

which makes me wonder how this company can without over running the motor which would make them a bit suspect.

but I might be totally wrong, just enquire about the guarantee before buying

I had a good search around ... not much user info out there yet ..
actually the one for sale on UK ebay (170psi ) might not be the most power version as this brochure mentions a various versions including 170 and 220 psi .  You can get the 230volt  200psi  version from Steembrite .

if thats the same one then i can't see a problem, 'proudly made in the USA'

I had a little fear they were a Chinese copy, but they look a good buy

Mark do you have to adjust the valve for a 130 or only when you go above and where is the valve and
how do you adjust it.

cheers Jim

135 will be fine, go over that and you need to adjust the valve it is located at the back of the machine when you open it near where the power cord goes in
