Thanks

Cillit Bang for Lime and Grime shifts it but its slow if there is a lot. Good for houses where they water the hanging baskets with a hose pipe. Got a few like that.

Neat vinegar will do it. Tried it a couple of weeks ago on a pair of patio doors. After spending ages with a scraper and repeated washes on the first door, using vinegar on the other had the limescale removed in no time.

The vinegar idea was suggested to me by the customer whose patio doors I was cleaning. I put the vinegar onto a paper tissue and applied it to said door. It really does work. FTW it was Tesco Value malt vinegar! Brilliant stuff!

I have winsol crystal clear 1ltr version is top at getting stains off glass but nervous of using it as heard people on here say they ruined glass with i as it is very acidic.
was looking at getting A1 titan limescale remover on link or maybe the ettore tub one would only like to use winsol if all else fails; A1 titan seems less harmful.
Have tried the mdr stuff and does work most of the time but smells and looks like sh!t smeared on the glass due to it's colour :(
Other thing with winsol is wouldn't want spillages indoors as would ruin carpets :o

A1 titan is very good stuff for heavy limescale i've used this for 18 months on the worst windows possible.. This A1 saved me alot of time a few weeks ago on a new job.. the glass was covered in silicone on every window round the house and i must of spent 10 mins on the first window with a scraper then i got this titan out and ripped it off..

This is the 2nd post today that I'm promoting this stuff......... guys I promise I don't work for them, its just very good at what it does!
Winsol 550, it is a rubber glove and goggle job though!
-
try de -icer neat does do the job. always bring some out with me just incase. ;)
-
Brick and mortar cleaner, it's an acid so it can discolour metal though.
-
I'd use winsol. Just be very careful with it.
Dab some on an old cloth and buff the window with it. That way you don't have to worry about splashes to interior decor.
-
Concentrated nitric acid will get rid of it.

Thanks for verifying that Rob :)
Thought silicone was next door to impossible to get off glass; so that's good news ;)
