What ever you do don't use a Turbo on Indian Sandstone :o

it is defo a lichen, but finding it on more and more jobs and its getting harder to remove.

i have also seen hypo react with natural stone. some of it has veins of metal ore that stain.
patio cleaner is even worse. i got called to meters of stone once all got brown stains where the chemical had landed. looked like wee on carpet.

Never had the mentioned problem. Need a strong mix on indian stone to soak into them, use a fan lance and they'll vanish fast. 10-15 mins dwell.

It's great stuff. Did some old york stone today absolutely caked in black spots and came up great.

Yeah i was new to the hypo, but after some good advice, i always get rid of those black spots.. ;D

i spoke to these guys www.blackalgae.co.uk months ago
they prommissed to send a sample made great claims for the product
when i told them i wanted it for professional use
guess what i am still waiting for my sample
i think they are just after the domestic market
you guys could prove me wrong

I buy Hypo (dairy wash as used by farmers) from most farm stores, is this the same as you guys use? seems to work OK.

you can usually get it from swimming pool shops too. I get mine from a chem company but then again, im in Glasgow..
