Title: What size pole would you recommend
Post by: Cleaning Buddy on June 07, 2011, 05:08:40 pm
Hi. I have been out canvassing today and hit on a new estate.

Lots of these houses are town houses or normal houses with bedrooms in the loft

I have not knocked on these as I know the pole I have is a 25ft GXtel (i think) which is too short

I am just starting out so dont have a lot of money in reserve now I have bought the van and system but just wondered what size pole do you think I will require?

I guess the windows are no higher than 35ft - but I am wondering what I will meet doing the backs where there could be conservatories to go over

I do a lot of town houses/ 3 storey work and use my slx30 as an everydat pole

Works well for me

30ft will do nicely but you may find it too short if there is a decent size conservatory round the back.

Use 27' clx 99% of the time. On 3 Storey still have one section closed. Might struggle at that height if had chalet style windows set back.

we find that any work over 20ft needs to be priced up very well as high windows always take a good bit longer to do that the lower stuff

A 25 ft pole should just about reach, trouble is your pole is probably mor like 22-3 ft. If you wanna be safe get a 30 ft. A good budget pol would ge a gardiners clx.

Had a look at the gardiners website - bit confused about all the bits on offer in the drop down options - as newbie not sure what I need or what everything does ...

Just need a longish pole that connects to my van mount to do my 3 storey houses ...

Any clues anyone? - or should I just call gardiners tomorrow?

Must build all the town houses and loft windows a lot lower to the ground in Liverpool. I'm reaching all mine easily with a CLX 27.
