Title: Prochem quad wand
Post by: craig partridge on June 06, 2011, 08:11:25 pm
I'm thinking of trying one, anyone got any feedback? Also I under stand it's a 1,3/4 inch tube? Does it taper up to 2 inch or down to 1,1/2 inch?

I have one Craig, the tube is 1 3/4" opening up to 2" at the end of it to take a 2'' hose cuff.
The head is 11'' wide.

How much are they these days ?.

It's a very nice wand to use, I have too many of them though - more wands than wands r us !.

Thanks Glynn,

Price, should be £ 350 to 400 ish,  that's including post and duty from the US.

Shame it goes to 2 inch as I prefer using 1,1/2 whip.

Ah well Craig, the PC quad is the only wand that " properly" takes a 1.5" hose cuff inside the end of it. And it fits tightly and doesn't come loose.

Prochem have probably the best range of wands going, bit minty buying from UK suppliers though list is £595 plus vat and plus glide, Craig don't forget to buy a glide!!

IMO the wand is just as important as the machine itself.

Shaun I stopped using a glide over a year ago, prefer without one, except on my green horn wand.

US defo cheaper then!

That bagless Kirby looks good!

IMO I don't think the extra money spent is worth it, saying that spray jet extenders are a good addition.

Looks good Mark, here's one modified for less but has no glide, also I think Joe puts the jets a bit TOO extreme an angle and close to the carpet.

Hmm might get that one you liked to and maybe il start using a glide again. :-\

Can trust Joe to deliver to UK Craig, have his high shear kit on one of my wands, angle easily adjustable and works really well.

Mark, thats good I never knew the shear angle was adjustable

Glynn, Evo is the 1,1/5 " tube, 13 inch head ( people call it a 12" head but its closer to 13" than 12 )

Still collecting then Glynn? ;D

You could just use a 2" to 1.5" reducer cuff
