I have no problem with a custy wanting to chnage from 4 to 8 weekly change. But get this letter from one that came this morning. Names have been changed etc...
"Dear SSWC
Thank you for the recent clean and I enclose our cheque.
As I have now retired and Mary is about to, we have to change quite a few of our commitments. We no longer wish to have our windows washed every four weeks please.
We are prepared to accept every 8 weeks so will not need our windows cleaned until July.
I am afraid this decision is not negotiable.
Thank you for your service to date.
Yours sincerely
Joe Bloggs"
Isn't that an odd thing to write? 'Not negotiable"? They did ok up to that point, I thought.

;D is a bit strange. Totally understandable up to that point.
I don't personally charge more for 8 weekly cleans, but I would be very tempted to write back with a polite note.
along these lines,
Dear Joe Blogss,
Thank you for the cheque and explaining your future requirements in terms of cleaning intervals, I will be happy to go ahead with the new arrangement, however due to the longer frequency between cleans the new price will be Xamount.
I am afraid this decision is not negotiable.
Thank you very much for your custom.
Yours sincerely

I think if I did that they would just dump me!
Better off bouncing a few windows to shave some time off the job - they won't notice if I make it the bathroom window etc. Prolly rinse less and generally have to speed up to warp drive 6 to grab back some value.
I mean to say, you keep prices fixed for years and then they do this.

There is your problem. Put your prices up to the point that each job is worth doing 'as if it were a one-off'. That way the regularity is not an issue.

I think we would all love to be able to do that, but you have to be realistic, you'll be pricing yourself out of the market if you do that.

If you are going to dump them anyway there is no loss.

I WOULD JUST DO AN ILLEGIBLE SCRIBBLE RESEMBLING A SIGNATURE, HARDLY THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY AS THEY ARE EXPECTING THE CHEQUE TO BE CASHED. sorry for caps

It sounded as of you wre implying this is something that ought to be done on all his prices.
