These days when the tank has about say 70L it just gets air-locked and unable to pump it used to pump the lot out till the tank was pretty much empty but now it doesn't.
The pump is not as low as it could be i think that might make a difference?
but it was pumping out before for ages so strange why its not any more.
pump age unknown im guessing its well over 4 years, 100psi

Hi,
I would advise you to get the pump as low as possible, we had the same issue on one of our vans and simply lowering the position of the pump solved it.
Cheers,

if i was you i would put the pump on the floor and run at full speed to get rid of the air lock. the only problem is when you get that far down with the water level water will flow back to tank so by keeping the pump on the floor will stop any further problems. i have done this and i can drain the tank down to nothing and still be OK.

ur getting air in the system, when u go around corners, is it a flat tank
-
Thing is i didnt have that problem before it used to just pump it all out its just started over the last 3-4 weeks strange why it started now but ill put that pump lower

I had this mate, i re plumbed it all, checking all fittings and dubilee clips were tight etc...it worked after that. My pump sits on TOP of the 400l tank, having it lower yes will help because its being fed, but pumps are designed to draw.

My flat 400l does the same. Just pop the connector of the hose reel for a few seconds, clears mine no problems.

Is the pump noisey? if it is it may be air getting in on the suction side, tighten up the inlet connections.
Four years old, might be nackered! How much has that earned you?
