to any ionics users how long approx does it take to fill a 400ltr tank on a pro 5
thanks
dave

I have a 1000 litre tank Dave, so this is an estimate but I would say 2hours 20 something like that for 400 litres. But I fit my supply hose directly to the top filter, saves loads of time instead of going through the meter etc.

ok thanks tom also could i if i had to bypass the ro just to make it quicker if i run out of water on a job
ps my tap tds is very low in my area.
thanks

TDS v low here too Dave usually mid 40's. I have cut down on the frequency that I run the salt wash through after Ionic told me it was ok to do so {due to the softness of my water}. Any queries re the system Ionic are usually really good at answering on the phone. Just give them a buzz {I bought my system second/third hand but they have always been great re support for me}.

thanks tom my tds is usually 20-25 i have been speaking to richard from ionics but was just after some users advice
thanks

Hi Dave.
if your tap water is only 20-25 then you really don't need an RO as your resin will do just fine.
20-25 what I would give for that tds from the tap
-
With tds so low in all likelihood you probably don't need a water softener at all as the water is most likely already soft, in fact with tds of 25 most would only use resin. In fact some years ago I remember tucker pole saying you can clean with tds of 20.

I know i dont realy need a ro im only using di at the moment but ionics have offered me a pro5 thermo pure at a good price so when ive got time i can fill it through the ro and if im in a hurry i can bypass the ro in all it should save me money on resin
-
Unless its appx. 3k or cheaper then very possibly you are about to waste money unnecessarily.

Actually ,almost certainly nothing,i probably should not have posted. I just have a different perspective being at the lower end of turnover for a window cleaner. Good luck with whichever you choose, after care would be the main area to have piece of mind in i reckon.
