Title: Mould remover

Keep getting alot of jobs where the shower/bath seal has alot mould in it, what is the  best thing to remove this?

There are a lot of different causes for this and it is better to find the cause.  Possibles are as follows in no particular order
1.  No adequate ventilation (Window not opened regularly or fan not working or blocked).
2.  Incorrect preparation of the substrate prior to tiling (No tanking used for example)
3.  No regular cleaning regime

Solutions to
1.  Obvious introduce regular ventilation then clean with Mold or mildew cleaner or Aqua Mix Heavy Duty Tile & Grout Cleaner
2.  Not a lot you can do about this other than go to extreme and retile or remove existing silicone/grout make sure it's sealed
3.  Clean it as in Step 1 or replace silicone and or grout and explain importance of keeping it clean on a regular basis.

Finally if the grout is mouldy or dirty you can clean it then recolour it with Aqua Mix grout Colourant.  This is an impervious epoxy grout paint and that will solve it permanently because water can no longer pass through the grout.

Hi Mate

I use detox Mould & Mildew remover over all the grout and sealant and leave it too whiten out, works 8 out 10 times.

Usually in our situation it's dirt in the grout or rotting bodyfats (that lovely orange colour)

Sometimes it's so bad that only a replace will do. I do about 10 of these a month, so if you need it give me a shout.
