Title: tank in car system
Post by: g.brookes on May 31, 2011, 04:40:45 pm
Hi there, after spending the last month convincing myself a trolley system would be best for me, the continual talking about how theyre rubbish has got me thinking.
I have a renault megane that i cant park outside my flat and have no means of filling it up at night.
Is there a safe way of putting a small 100-200 litre tank in the back of the car, and attaching a DI to it etc?
I can fold the seats down, but they slant, rather than lay flat.
Before you ask, I can't buy a van for another couple of years.  I dont particularly want a trolley system but it seems like my only option?

It's possible but to be honest I would stick with a trolly if you have a small family car and no way of changing it just yet. A trolly will look more pro than a Megane with a hose reel coming out form it.

Why do you want a di system in the car? Is it because you are in a flat? It might be better to look around for pure water suppliers rather than fill and then filter with di.

Simon.

to start with wouldnt need more than 100 litres as not gonna be using it for all my jobs.  just seems like a pain to take the trolley out, then two 25litre tanks every time.  I'll have a look for some anchor points.
The reason i suggested DI was cos the trolley im looking at has a DI canister attached so you can fill up on the go at customers houses etc.

LWC, what sort of set up did you have?  In retrospect would you have found it easier using a trolley?

Cheers for all the advise chaps
