Title: Sales commision
Post by: Bedfordshire Oven Cleaning on May 30, 2011, 09:06:00 pm
Can any of you let me know what you would pay an employee who led you to a big job?
Say someone who through his/her contacts and some hard work putting quotes together managed to help you secure a job of for example £500k in total.

She is not a sales person, more operations or admin but you would not have got the job without his/her help.

Just interested in the numbers behind introducing a scheme to my guys.

Many thanks
Paul

1 - 2 months of the contract as commission.

That's what we do.

Hi

Depends what the profit is on this £500,000?

either a % of the profit which can be yearly for the term of the contract (if you are feeling generous and may lead to them getting you more contracts) or a 1-2 months value as stated.

I would give a cash amount  based on profit.

Employees often like to be appreciated in other ways , in the past I have bought holidays , cars and given extra days off to staff which they always appreciate and often cost less than outright cash rewards .

Also a simple thankyou goes a long way , when ever handing over payslips I always make a point of saying  thankyou for your .......  and I genuinely mean it  .
