im after a 350L flat tank/metal reel and 100m microbore hose.
im just wondering whether i can get a inlet fitting(male rectus 21) for the reel that will fit the extension hose off my pure freedom trolley(its a female rectus 21 fitting) as ill be using the trolley as a van mount but will still need my trolley for a few jobs.
ive no idea what fitting to get for the reel so that i can just plug my trolley hose straight into the reel and away i go with 100m of hose!
also will i need anything else like a tank elbow?ratchet straps?where do they sell these?
i think ill give them a ring next week.sick of lugging the trolley about now! ;D ;D ;D ;D
thanks guys any help would be very much appreciated!
regards

ps, what kind of tap are/were you using??

thanks paul.what it is ive got a trolley with extension hose that feeds directly from the pump.the hose has a female rectus 21 connector that i connect my pole hose to when using the trolley.i want to connect this extension hose into the reel so i have 100m of hose.by the looks of it its usually a standard hoselock inlet connection in most hose reels.so i need a fitting that will screw into the inlet so i have a male tail to fit into the female extension hose connector.
i hope im making myself understood?not slept much lately with all the other things going on in my life! :( :(
its probably not much of a problem but it feels like it is!! ;D ;D
never owned a hose reel before or a tank so im pretty clueless! ;D ;D

my reel has a brass swivel (bottom of this page http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Standard_Plastic_End_Stops_etc.html ) just connect one end of the adapter from previous link to that and the other end to your rectus fitting on your trolley. ;)

thanks paul you ve been a great help! ;) ;D ;D

ive just setup a system in the back of my van daz
500 litre upright , tap on that goes to pumo box and then outlet to hose reel , all hoze lock fittings apart from the end of my 8mm microbore got a ez snap end tap , which is what you mean by rectus 21 i think
order the hose reel from pure freedom, 100m and reel, they are sturdy enough and easy to use, they have a hoselock inlet and your 8mm microbore just gets jubilee clipped ton the outlet

sean ill be using the trolley by hooking it up to the tank so i have a van mount.the extension hose from the trolley(rectus 21 female) needs to plug into the reel of 100m of microbore.with most being hoselock inlet connectors i need a fitting that will allow the female end of extension hose to plug into the reel!then when i need the trolley i can disconnect from the 100m of microbore and use it as a normal trolley! ;D ;D

gardiners do a "kit" that will fit the 100m of microbore into the inlet valve in the reel.
its not that ive got a problem with!
ITS HOW I CONNECT THE HOSE FROM THE TROLLEY PUMP TO THE REEL!its a female rectus 21 connector that needs to fit on the outside of the reel!arent most hoselock fittings?
so can i get a hoselock connector that will fit on my trolley hose?then into the outside of the reel!
this is doing my head in now!better wait til tuesday and phone gardiners up to explain what im trying to say on here!! >:( >:(
-
the hose from the trolley is 1/2 inch or 6 or 8 mm? you can get 6 -8 mm to hoselock fittings i seen em somewhere gardiners i think i sell them
-
sean the trolley hose is 8mm.gardiners sell the 6mm barb hoselock connector that will fit on the outside of the reel just not the 8mm! :( :(
they might have one for me if i phone them up! ;D ;D

You'll find this way of working a lot easier, Daz. I rarely ever touch my backpack these days; even for awkward stuff it's still easier and quicker to drag my hose with me. And 100 meters of hose is a fair whack, even when parkings a problem, I can still get to most places. And if your work is compact, you can park up and clean quite a few properties without moving the van. I have one place where I can clean 8 good sized houses (total worth £120) without moving the van. Working with Wor Lass, we smash through them (though I still get the awkward ones >:().
I love not having to do any 'heavy lifting' these days; well only what Wor Lass makes me do, but that's rude, only happens in the bedroom, and not appropriate for this forum.

Glad to be of service, i know how it feels, ive been helped loads the last few weeks as i am almost finished putting a van mount together, just got to get a flow controller and im done, however it is up and running already, but its been hard work , however now i know what it needs it would be easy in the future its just a learning curve but to say goodbye to the backpack will be awesome
If i can help give us a shout
Ps, if you're ratcheting it down ive found an upright against the bulk quite easy to secure
