Title: help on cleaning parquet floor

Hi team,
was just wondering if anybody  could recommend anything to clean parquet flooring, hope ive spelt it correctly, its proper wooden flooring, my mum has tried lots of things but nothing works,any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

You will probably need to strip it or sand it and then re varnish/ seal it.

Hi thanks for the info, but its new flooring we just need to find something to clean it with, its very similar to that of laminate but better quality have tried different things but nothing seems to work, can still see little marks on it, does anybody have any suggestions?

hi sharon,

dont mean to sound condescending

but are you sure that it is parquet, and not an amtico floor.

and if the floor is new, my first port of call would be to the flooring company that laid the floor, and to get the spec sheet form them for the cleaning and maintainence requirements.

I had Parquet flooring in my hall and it in its raw state its strips of hardwood and once laid they have be sanded and sealed.
I think you could be right Martin.
