Post by: Pole 2 Pole on May 27, 2011, 04:11:02 pm
I ain't got a complex setup. Just a upright 250l connected to pump and varistream......connected to hosereel. But whenever my water level drops to I guess where the submersible is.......I keep getting locks. What's the best way to clear it please you lovely people x x x

Is your pump as low as it can be?

Simplest way I've found is disconnect your hose reel, turn on pump, and suck until you get a mouthful of water.......... no airlock!

Run the pump flat out for a few seconds that should clear it.

The pump should be as low to the floor as possible & it's feed pipe should have no high points in it.

Sorry panorama. Had to do the Tesco run. No pump is kinda halfway up as far as height goes. Should it be lower???

Just tried sucking air out. Sorted. I cant really have pump any lower as there's nowhere on van to secure it. Thankyou boys.

The pump does not have to be too secure. My pump is on the van floor cable tied to the floor straps.
