Post by: CLEANCARE WC on May 22, 2011, 02:42:32 pm
I HAVE SEEN A REASONABLY PRICED HOSE REEL. IT CAN HOLD 130M OF 1/2 " HOSE, IM PRETTY SURE IT WILL BUT DO YOU GUYS RECKON AS I DO THAT IT SHOULD EASILY HOLD 30M OF 1 " HOSE?  IN THEORY IT SHOULD HOLD 65M OF 1"

By my calculations you'd only get about 17 and a half meters on that reel.  You need to work out the area of the hose and although 1 inch is only twice the bore of half inch it is about 7 times the area.

Simon.
