no not the clamps - expert at repairing these now :D
clx pole - thought brush had come loose so turned it to tighten it and just rotating - looks like the part that goes into top of pole has come loose ..... do I just use araldite/superglue like u do on the clamps ?
wouldnt mind hardly use the pole as its a 27ft ( I think) so only on the long reach jobs ... got my 21ft (I think) for 99.9% of my jobs and just repaired 2 of the clamps on that today.

Araldite mate should do the trick

happened to mine, u need to use the same glue as you use on clamps, do u you a goose neck

Araldite will be OK'ish but there is nothing more permanent than the 2 part epoxy resin that Gardiners supply. Anything I've ever glued with this has never come unstuck! ;)
Preparation of the two surfaces is vital also.

If that is true..... why dont they use it when they manufacture the pole?

I don't know but I think the glue "issue" is resolved now. I've seen one of the poles which were affected, my mates Smax, it was replaced before use & he's had no issues since. I've just got the Xtreme48 & the clamp glue is the same as on my mates new Smax (which is factory applied, the black stuff) & it's set like rock!

i got a clx 22 and to be honest, they are good poles, but could be better, ie better glue, better hose, when using hot water it goes to soft and when cold kinks, i have had to glue sections 1, 2 ,3 but i would get a other one, as i cant justifify the price of the extremes poles

tell ye what all i read about on here about all these fancy poles is clamps coming loose or something needing glued.

Or8 Jacob, is your clx22 long enough for most jobs, as i'm thinking off getting a clx18 and clx27 ???, sorry for the hijacking Ian101, regards, Shaun..

yea its ok, does most of my jobs, wish i had bought the 27 and just remove sections not using

Evening sean, although some people have had issues with glue on clamps i personally have never had a problem on either of my gardiner poles. hows everything going? Dan

i recently brought the 18ft with extreme brush
and i av had no probs its a gr8 pole to b honest ;D ;D ;D
