Title: Rotary V Cylindrical
Post by: Simon Gerrard on May 22, 2011, 08:36:49 am
As a scrubbing system, which do you think is best, Rotary or contra rotating cylindrical brushes such as the Envirodri and Flexi 5.

We did a large job last we and because of the soil conditions found that scrubbing in the pre-spray produced the best possible result. We did some with a rotary brush and then changed to the contra-rotating cylindrical brush of the Flexi 5 which seemed to pull up a lot more debris to the surface whereas the rotary didn't.

as a practicioner of LM cleaning I actually have both.

I always agitate the prespray with the CRB, and to be honest if I don't like the results that are appearing when finished that bit, I use the green stripe pad on the rotary as well.

Usually only on real mingers and it never works if I only use the rotary method, so in answer to your question IMHO the CRB method is the best for distributing the prespray deep into the carpet.

On carpet tile I would always use White nylon pads on a rotary.

On broadloom and deeper pile a brush. Either crb or Cimex.
