Got to do a glass connie roof which has patches of 1 inch moss on. Whats the best way to clear this off? usual way with TFR and customers hose pipe or is there a better way to remove heavy moss.

Be VERY CAREFULL with tfr on glass when the sun is out... it will easily dry and mark, then you have a big problem on your hands.
Without seeing it can be hard to give you a definate answer really. Get pictures next time you get a job like this - i carry a camera in the van with me and its come in handy many times over.
From what you have said, i'd be tempted to drag the moss off .... give it a good soak with water and drag off with a soft brush.
After that you will need to see how bad it is and go from there. Personally i dont like using tfr on glass roofs, reason being that if it dries on, your screwed ! Maybe replace the tfr with fairy

I terms of tools to remove the moss, I presume you would onle consider using the brush? I was wondering if anyone would use a scraper? I have a car window scraper (removing ice) and have this on a long pole. Would it be an idea to use this? Or is it just a case of soak alot and brush off?

In my experience, moss doesn't cling to the glass or plastic but seems to take root at the line where the rubber seals join the glass and plastic. The plastic scraper is probably the tool to use. I think you'll find that water and brushing has very little effect.

For this type of stuff we use an adapted 16 inch foam floor squegee. They are also great for when you wash the glass just to bring the water and crud forward, that way your brush heads never get mucked up.
I used to hate it with a passion when we would clean the roof panels and when you're doing the final rinse some muck comes off the brush head... >:( ;D

Looks like a very good solution. Do you then use the side of the squeegee to scrape at the moss?
Can you give details of the adaptation? And maybe a photo?

The rubber floor squegee is pliable enough to mould into the roof bars,so it is ideal to pull all the crud off.We may use the brush at some point to really loosen up the stubborne mess, although as we spray with chems that is hardly ever needed.
How do i post pics up and i will show a pic....
