I noticed lately a few members that built rounds up with solo leafleting have been looking for canvassing companys./canvassers and im wondering why.
If leafleting worked in the 1st place why take on a canvasser? the only reason i would ,would be to re knock the post code that was mass leafleted.
i my self am sick of the old fashioned canvassed customer nothing wrong with it and ill keep it a part of my tactic to gain customers but i get annoyed with the amount of messers.
im about to start mass leafleting and give this a good go.my view would be because they pick up the phone and call you it has to be a stronger lead. you can easily charge more for 1st cleans and explain as long as they stay with us its x amount cheaper per clean.with canvassed customers you cant easily do that.
so i just pretty much was wondering whats everyones view on this.

Canvassing gets you more compact work and is faster. Leafleting is also good for the reasons you mentioned. Horses for courses.

My round's entirely built with leaflets and I will never employ a canvasser. Charge enough and you will overcome the costs of being less compact. Also, bear in mind that you'll only have one customer in a street for a little while; the ones will turn themselves into twos and threes.

I think cozy is right. Both have there advantages. But I dont think you will get a 'straight' answer on here.
BUT IMO Its Leaflets all the way. Get a job from a leaflet then Do a top notch job AND I MEAN TOP NOTCH!! (more than is expected of you) and you will get the compact work quicker than you think. 99% less messers with leaflets (IMO).
IMO. Dont use a multi/slid in a newspaper leaflet drop.
But defo Re-leaflet targeted areas every 2 to 3 weeks.
Could tell you more but that would be giving my secerets away ;)

30,000 should get about 120-150 depending on your leaflet.
25% respond in the week after the drop
25% more than four weeks after - up to a year later

is that 120-150 calls? or more like 250 calls out of which about 120-150 become custys? , ofc on average taking into account prices and well mannered on phone.

120-150 customers, but that's because 95% of people of our calls end up as customers.
