Title: Yellow fungus on soft top roof of car

Does anyone know how to treat this? Tried all sorts and am Selling a Saab convertible but want to remove this first. Any ideas?

Apparently an anti-microbial cleaner works best, I tried Microsan - it helped but didn't remove it completely, although I should have possibly left it dwell a bit longer and possibly agitated a bit more.

On the same subject, I hear there's a heat wave on the way - why not hold off putting it on sale until the sun comes out?  8)

Is it Fungus or Lichen. Either way just brush it with Clensan, Microsan, F429, rinse job done.

It might be Honeydew (mistaken for tree sap) can be a nuisance in the summer months, it literally rains down from tree canopies due to high levels of insect activity. Composed of sugars and undigested waste that passes through the bodies of Aphids.

Something with a mild enzyme action may help. Remember to retreat the roof.

Nemesis or mpower could be a good start nice and safe but good at breaking down grease and mould growth then I'd try using Milton fluid as a very mild bleach, I'm trying to suggest something that will not take the colour.

Hi

Been in the car valeting business now for 25 years now, the best method I have found is to first soak the fabric with your pressure washer, then use an all purpose cleaner \ or a good pre spray, apply by low pressure spray.
Agitate by soft brush like a nail brush, leave for at least 5 mins to dwell then remove with high pressure washer.
The trick is to move across the fabric in even strokes and avoid getting the jet of water too close, this will damage the fabric.
Once the fabric has been rinsed, extract with an extraction machine.
I would also make a point of applying a fabric protector once dried, this will ensure easy future cleaning.
