How on earth did she think she would get a better quote than £4?

My guess is they probably asked for a quote to give them a good feeling about what a bargain they were getting.

I park on double yellows to do plenty of jobs and the traffic wardens don't bother me. As long as my back doors are open it's classed as loading.  :)

£4!!!

This just shows that some people have no business understanding as to what their running costs are.  I can almost guarantee that it will be cash in the back pocket at that price.

Why are they looking for a new window cleaner?

I would have quoted £20 every 8 weeks.

It amazes me how some people make a living.... £4  :o

I was waiting for some equipment to arrive yesterday so could not work, instead i dropped a few flyers.

Came to a house and a bloke shouted "dont bother I clean this one" I got talking to him (nice guy) he was worried i might be out undercutting him, The house in question was a £12 minimum, he was charging £6.

I laughed and said dont worry mate i think your your jobs are safe. Each to their own though, he seemed happy enough.

Perhaps the windy has had the job for years and years and has never put up his price? Hence the 1970's or is it 1980's price?
