i guess doing this once in 2 months is standard?

My SLX's have had the odd loose clamp and I simply epoxy resin them back on at the end of the week but just gaffer tape them for the rest of the day.
About once every two months I will do a complete refurb which means I take all the hose off, clean it out, check clamps for loosening and repaint "pull out stop" points then spray it with Mr Sheen.
But I prolly wash it through monthly and Mr Sheen it at the same time.

I tried 'Mr Sheen', but it's just not as good as PTFE spray.

try superglue gel a bit pricey but does 5 clamps from one tube six month since i did it still solid ;)

Superglue lasts ages when fixing my clamps, just don't do what I did n get your index finger stuck to your thumb for half an hour!

i had mine snap 2 times in 2 days at same clamp then i had the angle apapter snap on it, whislt trying to remove it i ended up removing the barrel it sticks on, was told this is becasue i use a gooseneck, but other than that its a great pole, but mine takes a battering

I've never had any clamps come loose although I have changed the clamps on the mk1 pole. Could it be that if the clamps keep coming unglued that maybe they are set to clamp too tight. They only need to pinch the pole to hold it. Certain cleaning agents can eat into the glue as well, so you need to be careful of what you use to buff the pole up with.
