Title: Urgent question please
Post by: ValueValeting on October 05, 2005, 11:21:23 am
I have a customer who has spilt thinners in the back of her car.

All removal help appreciated. I know it will just evaporate off eventually, however she wants the smell gone ASAP.

Will bog standard carpet shampoo react??

Regards

Phil

Phil,

Yes bog standard carpet cleaner will emusify the thinners , but if you could prespray with shampoo work in to assist emulsification and suck out with an extraction machine , this will be better.

Even better would be to extract with hot water / detergent solution which will speed evapouration/ emulsification.

Cheers,

Doug

Just wanted to check that there would be no nasty reactions with the shampoo.
