Greetings all.

How many of you are using pick up trucks for WFP Cleaning and what do you think of the idea?

Yes and they are fantastic

Ford Rangers with factory fitted rear top, double cab fully sign written great workhorse and you look so professional and succesful

Nice to hear I'm not alone! Been using a Ford P100 for about six years now and despite being underpowered it does very well. Vans are great from the security point of view but a pick up with a top, I think, is unbeatable. Trying to progress to a Ranger as they seem to be rather good. My theory on the pick up idea is that they are designed to get wet, so any overspill or loose high pressure hose fitting is of no consequence. What sort of Ranger do you have?

I had a go in my mates Navara a while back... loved it!!!!!!!!!! Its just the fuel consumption that puts me off!!!  ???

And the fact that the engines seem to explode every 40,000 miles.
Navara should manage about 30mpg which ironically is about all my P100 manages with about 100 less bhp.
That's gearing for you.

A mate of mine has just fitted out a new Mitsubishi, not sure of the model, but it's a limited edition and the pick up area is 200mm shorter than standard. He's worked around it, but it does look a little cramped in the back. He was using a Ford Kuga and a trailer, reckons he;s saving about £30 in fuel.

Personally I think they look ok, but each to there own.

pickups really do look cool. i was considering one (for trad) but they use too much fuel in comparison

Ive always wanted one but got my sensible head on just lately (for a change). Was talking to my mate whos got one, he said with all the stopping and starting we do, be lucky to get 30mpg.

The thing that im driving at the mo does around that and its just no good.

Cool yes...good idea? Maybe not
