I have just replaced the ink in my printer today only replaced the black and left the old empty colour one in place. I printed the test sheet that the printer prompted me to do and it printed black with no problem. HERES THE PROBLEM... when the previous black ink ran out the printer just starts using colour until thats depleted. well just tried to print worksheets and its still trying to use the colour ink which has now completely run out. how do i get the printer to print black? im using microsoft works spread sheets if that helps? I swear you could change the colour you print i thought it was somewhere near the font style/size? any help appreciated as i need to print these tonight. sorry boring i know :-[

I dont know what the answer is bud but it was things like that that put me off inkjets for life. Buy a cheap laser jet. I did for about £80. Ok you can only print in black and the cartridges may cost £30 a refill but the quality is loads better and a cartridge can print up to 5,000 pages. I'll never go back to ink ;)
