Post by: drevitt on May 09, 2011, 06:52:15 pm
evening all,
anyone else noticed extra spotting on windows with all this dry sunny weather! dont know if its the direct sun or the fact it hasnt rained here properly for a long time and everything is covered in a layer of dust.
do you guys rinse longer in bright sun, ive been wfp for about 4 years now and never had problem before with it!

not noticed.although i do rinse more(brush off) in warm dry weather as a matter of course.common sense IMO.

ITS BEEN THUNDER AND LIGHTENING IN MANCHESTER THIS AFTERNOON!just carried on!dont think its the most sensible thing to do waving a carbon pole about in it! managed to get my scheduled work done though! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D

i have noticed this also.
but this isnt new ,i always find it harder in direct sunlight .
sometimes i have to do the windows several times to get them right.

I also think that if the water on the glass dries too quickly, it hasn't had time to 'flush' the dirt away. The problem is usually on sun facing windows I find.

Faster flow  rate.I prefer it this weather because they are drying before you go home.

okay okay.... i know im dragging this topic out of the past but i was searching for spotting and...

i think i might have just had another lightbulb moment because of what i just read above,

of course we scrub the dam windows to lossen the dirt then rinse the god forsaken dirt off with pure water to leave a clean shiney window abviouse really!

what we should not do (what i suspect ive been doing) is scrub the glass losen the dirt then a quick flash of pure water that mixes with the other wet dirt and hey presto youve got hard/dirty water marks

make sense? maybe  ???

Just rinse more with a higher flow rate and fan jets, problem solved.
