Hi guys,
Been running WFP from a box trailer with a 250l tank and usually need to refill around lunchtime, so I'm thinking of buying a Vauxhall combo, with the 800kg capacity & side door.
I've seen various threads about 400 & 500 upright tanks; has anyone tried a horizontal tank? possibly a 500L tank filling to around 450l would be ideal
I'm thinking of boxing in the tank so that I can store some of my lighter/smaller gear on top. Until I decide on a model I don't know how much the wheel arches will restrict my choice of tank
Any pictures and/or advice would be greatly appreciated

i have a vauxhall combo with a 350l upright and have never ran out of water yet, do you use a pole tap? flow controller?
this might be useful to you, i would bet that with a 500l tank you will possibly be overweight

Thanks for the reply, I use a flow controller and a tap - I'll be the first to admit I rinse excessively - especially on first cleans - but I've never had any complaints of spotting on the first few cleans.
I'm sure a 400l tank will be enough, and within limits - really want to know if anyones using a flat tank in their combo.
I used to run a transit and had plenty of space and load capacity, until it died - but I'm going for fuel economy with the combo. I think the older DTI engined models have a few kg's more on payload

I've use a 400lt flat tank in my combo it fits between the arches with a couple of inch gaps either side, my van Is an old version no side door.

I got one with a 350 tank and believe me thats about as much as I would want to put in it, they get pretty weighed down with that payload
