Got my new SLX wow great pole 8) but wasnt cheap, so I really need to look after it!
Can anyone recommend some where online to buy some PTFE 4 my SLX
Many thanks

I bought 1 x 200 ml can of PTFE spray from e-bay for about £5.00.
It was enough to do both my 18 foot poles twice. So one 200 ml can will do one 18 foot pole four to six times (I was probably a bit liberal with the spray).
I'm now using furniture polish, which doesn't seem to be as good, but the saving on PTFE spray will be enough to fund replacements; I'm sure.

i think you were a bit heavy tosh !
500ml can that came with the SL2 - 2 years ago just ran out - it cleaned sl2 sections 1 to 5 - 3 times and my slx 25 approx 5 times.
you only need a light spray of this stuff - not have it running off !

PTFE spray is on offer at halfords, half price it's called GT85 - 400ml for £2.50 - bargain, I got it from the bicycle section to use on my SLX. :)

Hi Terry
Please do not use GT-85 on the SL-X pole. It is a penetrating lubricant and could damage the carbon fibre material and the adhesive used on the pole. Only dry film PTFE spray should be used.

Hi poleman
This is the correct stuff - good price for three cans! We do sell them singly if you just wanted one can. I cannot post a link to this obviously as I do not pay to advertise on this site.

I've just bought these in bulk:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330557073634#ht_500wt_1156
With free postage it works out at £3 each for a 400 ml can.
