Title: gardiners carbon poles

i have a new gardiners pole,love it but i was wondering why the carbon comes off onto my hand
and i get small splinters after only a month.i am probably totaly wrong but is it not possible to seal all the sections like the first section .i have still got two ionics poles and the carbon seem to be much more varnished even 2 years down the line ???is there any thing i can seal the carbon.         thanks

Dont say that i am waiting for a 22ft slx and cant wait for the lightest pole i will have ever used
