has anyone on here changed there whole round from every 4/8 weeks to 6 weekly?
i can see the advantages and wish from the start i offered 6 weekly only but i dont think i can change my customer base of nearly 300 custys on various 4 or 8 weekly frequencies over to 6 weekly
or could i ???

I like offering Monthly/bi monthly cleans and find it works well.. I also allow 3 monthly on very large properties, the trouble with 6 weekly is that if they don't want them done every 6 weeks.. you then have to go to 12 weekly which many will find too long between cleans!!

only do 4 or 8 weekly - at times that goes into 5 or 10 weeks with the rain or snow etc ...
-
hi ya :) when the reccesion kicked in my custermers asked if they could go from monthly to 8 weekly cleans, i said no and met them halfway 6 weekly, all new work is priced on a 6 weekly basis now,............pete

Started with 8 weekly in mind and I find this allows a decent time spread between visits, the windows visually look like they need cleaning and enough customer to allow for drops without worrying.
Cheers
Dave.

every 5/6 weeks when we get there.and we all wfp

at 4 weekly i often heard "is it that time already, mmm, you sure you arent early "etc so i slid mine to 6 weekly and no moans. the only downside is if you are later than 7 the windows are hard work
one woman collared me yesterday,id let her be 12weekly but she is narked that she really wants 3 monthly ,wants me to arrive in the last week of the month, but i couldnt see how to write that in George. so she said, ok make it 11weekly !

The trick is to charge a lot more for 12 weekly and make sure they are aware of it (+50%?). Some will go for it, some will stay at 6 weekly, some will cancel. If you average it out, it's unlikely that you will be worse off.
I went to 6 weekly quite early on. At the time I had just one customer pestering for 6 weekly as 4 weekly was too frequent for her and she didn't want 8 weekly. I was struggling to keep up then so thought I would try 6 weekly as I had a lot of 4 weekly and 8 weekly work. Different frequencies were harder to manage then as it was the days when computers were still very expensive for individual businesses to use. So - 6 weekly to help me keep up and to put them all on the same frequency. Much simpler. A few 8 weeklies grumbled but I only lost two IIRC. The 4 weeklies were fine as they saved a bit of money - though a couple did ask if I could stay with 4 weekly (they were OK about it though when I couldn't).
I will do 12 weekly these days. Initially it was larger jobs only but I've found that by charging +50% for 12 weekly it can still be viable (thanks for that idea Lee Pryor). You see, if they cancel over the extra 50%, it doesn't really matter because they were asking for a service that I prefer not to provide anyway.

Frankly, the windows don't need doing every 4 weeks. All my new houses are £16 (for a semi) and 8 weeks. I don't offer anything else but if they want it I will do 12 weeks for the same price.
Never hear anyone say they would prefer 4 weeks. Knowing that you can't usually get the same price from the customer that often who would want to work twice as hard for the same money?

Sorry i don't quite follow that ?
as i said i am too far in to change to 6 wky but the majority of new customers still opt for 4 wky - they are given a price for both services ie.. £10 4w or £15 8w

mainly 4 weekly/8 weekly.i have got some stand alones that are 6 weekly.even had a customer wanting to go from 8 weekly to 6 weekly so her wish was granted!anymore i get in that area will be all on 6 weekly.
the cheap compact estate work is 4 weekly but it often goes to 5 weekly so its more monthly/2 monthly.
6 weekly seems a good balance.cant believe i used to do fortnightly work!not for over 10 years now though! ;D ;D ;D
offering longer frequencies like 8 weekly/12 weekly are priced higher and are always larger properties.

I do every 5 wks and 10 wks

did same thing, my round was'nt as full then and did'nt up the price for fear of losing some, felt it was a good move though, a compromise thats paid off.
Has also given me space to re-shuffle work about and plan for time off without falling too behind.

our work was all monthly, kept picking up more and more work until now its all 6-7week
custy defo prefer it that way.
-
6 weekly for me.
-
6 weekly for me anything earlier than this and its moan city. at six weeks there pleased to see me.
-
every 7 to 8 weeks is best ;D
-
4 weekly is best ;D you can keep everything in order. If have 6 and 8 weekly it will throw your work out of sink otherwise you will have gaps in your work which will need filling. Every tried yearly. Lmao ;D ;D ;D

all of ours are 4 weekly :o
