hi justin, i cleaned 4 rugs monday, 3 had fringes & quite rank, gave rugs a good vac, turning the rugs & using me vac wand over the fringes, cleaned rugs & pre-sprayed fringes with warm m/s, fine line (ph 6.5 ish) brushed with hand groom brush & wiped with terry towels, then rinsed out.... applied alittle bit of vingar (the clear stuff) on the knuckles of fringes to get out that grubby look & rinsed.... all came up great. regards charlie. :)

I have heard that Chemspec Haitian Cotton Cleaner works well on fringes.
Never tried it on rug fringes myself but heard it is good.

If you use the oxibrite, fibre shampoo, fibre buff method put an extra scoop of oxibrite in and you will get decent results

On mingers if you pretreat and rinse with fresh water. Paint on oxibrite or Rx for fringe then rinse with Haitian cotton cleaner that will give amazing results.
I have also used sod.met by heat transfer on really black knots and got them White again.
