been looking around at the prices of "work for sale" is it my imagination but as the value being asked shot up
people seem to be asking for 6,7 times the value ???
-
I've recently sold some work for 3x.
In today's climate who would have the funds/confidence to pay more before recouping the outlay?

am sure some one here claimed they sold work for 20 x what it is worth

bob i think because of the old trad prices n the surge in wfp use and the fact people r taking window cleaning more seriously now in a business sense people have come to value there work more and seek a proper value in business terms

Quality counts, and for good established well paid wfp work you are going to pay a premium.
I think for good quality work you are looking at least 6 cleans monthly value ( which in my opinion is still good value ).

you are only buying goodwill and nothing else

;) depends if im buying or selling :o
paid about 4 to 4.5 times the clean on a large amount of work last year but in fairness it was all close together and very very good quality ... think i binned about a dozen but only cos im a snob and dont like working in dog toilet gardens
recently sold a days easy compact work on for about the same ratio so yes 3 times is not a reliable indicator.
personally i would rather pay more so long as the quality is there.
there is an area near me which I have canvassed door to door twice and got nothing .... is all top notch and all quality easy work if the lad was selling he would want 10 times the value and i dare say he would get it as well.
Like Richy says as well.

I bought some work in Sept last year near Chester (Close to Ian101), paid 5 times value, takes me one day to clean on my own, working 9.30 till 4.30.
The way i look at it is, it took me 5 working days to get my money back.
Better than canvassing for me as i hate knocking.
Its quality work and they are well trained payers.
Established 5 years BTW.
