Hi, anybody using a Ninja 400 with the Vacuum Booster from Ashbys. Thinking about getting one, but somebody told me I might be getting problems with tripping my customers electricity trip switches? Any reply will be appreciated!

Don't know much about Ninja three vac machines but I certainly never have any problems with tripping out on three vac Scorpion machine.

I use the vac booster on my 400psi ninja and it is great.
I would use anything other that 3 vacs now as the difference is quite big.
Thinking of converting to 2" hose and wand!

Thanks, just didn't want to invest that sort of money (I think it's very expensive, over £ 700)if it gives trouble cutting the electric!

Sometimes its just that the client's electrics are super sensitive, so not really your fault.
It should be incumbent upon yourself to keep your equipment properly serviced, and if you do start tripping a client's electrics then it is probably time to do some more servicing of your equipment.
That said there are often ways round this problem. For example, plugging-in in differnt rooms/floors can help minimise a potential problem as you will then be distributing your electric load across different rings. Avoid using adaptors and plugging 2 plugs into a double socket. Kitchen rings are generally higher rated as well. If push comes to shove you can always turn off your heater element and just run the pumps and vacuums and if you are really struggling then asking to turn off some of the clients equipment may allow you to get a job completed.
Bottom line-adding a booster vac to your set up really shouldn't be the "straw that breaks the camel's back" when it comes to tripping clients' electrics.
And for the record I have the 400 psi with in line heater and booster vac-so I hope you can see that my answer comes from experience.

Feeling bad after reading this, I had the 3 rd vac gathering dust for 2 years until recently, the guy whom I bought all my gear from had dismissed it as not worth the hassle!
I use it on all domestics, but on EOT & commercial where drying time not major issue then I dont bother.
not had any tripping issues.
Believe ashbys can install additional plug socket in ninja body.

Hi Mr. B, they do fit an socket on the machine. cost £ 55.00 VAT, third Vacuum £ 730.00, is it really worth that money. Somebody should start a new business up making Vacuum boosters!!! :'(

I believe that the vac motor in the booster is larger a 10" lamb.

You may be right with the 7.2" I was told by a 3rd party thought it was a bit odd as I have never heard of a 10" vac motor.
