I dont however rather than put a 2nd van on Im planning to overwork the 1 van I have now.
Basically going to canvass extra work and pay son to work it on a Saturday rather than it stand idle.
Just wondering how customers will be with it.
Personally it would not bother me if the windie turned up on a Saturday but thats me.

i do a few upvc cleans and roof cleans for acouple of hrs in the warmer mths, but these jobs are booked in.
i know a few that clean window reg and dont seem to have a problem, just start later.

Yes, For busy areas where normally it is difficult to park or work close to pedestrians on pavement. No problems overall
-
There's no problems with working on a Saturday but on domestic I'm rarely earlier than 10.30 am, though I'm quoting for some posh country house at 10.00 am this morning; but I arranged that earlier in the week.
-
one saturday per month.
I have a good customer that I like to work for. I only do it because it is a favourite. Never there before 10am.
The misses usually does a bit of shopping while I am there, and then its lunch in a beach front bistrot.
I don't work weekends these days if I can help it.

ian saturdays arnt a problem ;) ;)
-
Its not the saturdays that are the problem Gav, its the windows. Saturdays are great as long as they're glass free.
Having said that, I am working all day next saturday and I'm looking forward to it.
-
i dont in the summer but come winter i use them to catch up on work thats late or could not get access to in the week
-
Hardly ever in 25 years in the trade....earn enough in the week and then stop ;D
-
we work most saturdays, no prob with customers and we find its a great day to get new work and most customers be home, so majority of work is paid up straight away
-
I do when there's a loads of gay bank holidays to mess your schedule up!!
-
i do all my shops on a sat
-
Saturdays for me are my guttering/conny roof cleaning days but only when the Mrs is at work!!
Also for catch up if we have had a lot of really heavy rain during the week.

The biggest drawback I can see with this plan is weather.
If your sons work is just Saturday’s what happens if he can’t work due to bad weather? Instead of being a day or so behind he will be a week or so.
If that happened often i could see customers getting fed up.

I do a couple of commercial jobs on 2 Saturdays a month ,I do try and book in gutter cleans on Saturdays rather than messing up my weeks work. But I will avoid it if I can
-
I went out this morning to do my mates place quick and picked up 4 jobs so i will definately be working saturdays from now on ;D
-
I work 3 Saturday afternoons out of 4, mainly for my fortnightly work, but also if I need or want to do a bit more.
I also work some of the bank holidays. I have never been turned away or had any complaints.

i try not to work saturdays if i can help it although i have today and will be for a few weeks to catch up.like a lot of others on here i tend to do more saturdays in winter to catch up due to bad weather.i never start before 10am on domestics on saturdays and usually knock off around 3pm or 4pm.

I dont BUT after working today i think im going to. Had a really good day, rather than paying someone to come out with me in week im gonna work an extra day me thinks...more dosh for me
-
I work Saturdays, I start about 9-9.30. I always start at a hose where I know they will be up or out, I also select the area that I will work ................... it's no good going to an area where there will be loads of cars in the way and nowhere to park.
-
I have always worked Saturdays with never a problem but i keep all my customers to the same day even if its not the correct week
-
I have a lot of Saturday customers who are not in during the week and you can only get access on a saturday. I don't do a full day.
I also have some Sunday customers where the parking is no parking mon-sat. I used to do them on a sat and chance keeping an eye out for the wardens but now they use camera vans so you don't stand a chance. I'm going out in about half an hour to do four jobs.

I work every Saturday and start at 10.00am giving people the chance to get up and I finish around 2.00pm :)

These are houses that they need to be there to let you in. But don't work for peanuts, they are all good jobs.

I often work Saturdays. Depending what's on, it may just be a half day though.
