HAving used a carbon pole for the past couple of days one thing that I have noticed is that my hands have been getting really grubby; why is this??
I use carbon poles for fishing and never suffer with dirty hands so why are carbon wfp different??
Is the quality of the carbon not as high perhaps; I don't know. All I do know is that my hands are getting dirty while the windows get clean ;D

All these wfp'ers and nobody knows the answer??
Come on lads and lasses, why is my carbon pole making my hands black???

Friction caused by the sections rubbing against each other as you extend/retract the pole. This doesn't happen with a fishing pole as it's push fit. ;)

Hi - What were you using before & how do they compare ?
-
I was using, and still have a 35ft Extel Hybrid pole.
The Ergolite, at 55ft, is no heavier than the Extel, is slimmer and stiffer.
The Extel is shorter closed so is easier to use if you want to use one pole for everything from ground floor to four storey work.
As for the answer to my question, thank you, I should have realised that myself.
I guess a modular pole wouldn't have the same problem.
