YOU picked a nice day for cleaning windows was what a passing lady said to me today.
I replied yes and I hope Jume 14th is a nice day as well as might clean some more
she actually laughed and said sorry you must get that every summer
funny how no one ever says it in dec / jan / fed / march or when is persisting down but out pops the sun for a few hours and us window cleaners have it cushty :D :D :D

I'ver had that loads of times, once a passerby (not a customer lol) said it to me, and I couldnt help myself. I said "really? You think so eh? Do you think I had a choice about what days I work? This is my business.
Yes I may have PICKED a good day to clean windows, but you also PICKED a good day to be a moron"
I said the last bit under my breath of course!

Of course you could of said " I did, didn't I, shame I don't get paid for weather forecasting.
Do you have a window cleaner, because I can always provide a quote for you......."

maybe so mate, but have picked some nice work up this week and also bought £500 worth off my mate so cant complain really.

I think she was just making friendly conversation ... it's not as irritating as "You're going to make it rain".
When they say you've picked a lovely day to clean windows I just come back with "I take the rough with the smooth madam - it wasn't much fun working back in January!"
